Hospitality Attendant – Cruise Whitsundays

About the role

Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach, is the largest marine-based tour and transport provider in the Whitsundays, operating 10 air-conditioned vessels, a sailing catamaran, tours, an inter-island resort connection service and the underwater accommodation Reefsuites. Journey Beyond, which owns Cruise Whitsundays, is looking for enthusiastic Hospitality Attendants to work on a casual and part-time basis at the Port of Airlie Terminal, where the Hospitality Attendant plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Cruise Café.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, present and maintain food displays to a high standard
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and consistent service
• Follow operational procedures and Work Health and Safety requirements
• Keep the terminal's tables, chairs and balcony area clean and tidy

Required profile

• SITHFAB021 – QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (mandatory)
• Exceptional barista skills and certifications are highly desirable
• Basic food handling experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude, attention to detail and creative problem-solving

Required skills

• Advanced technical skills in coffee preparation and a solid understanding of the coffee industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
