Hospital Veterinary Nurse

About the role

The team at ARH Canberra is seeking passionate veterinary nurses who can work independently with a reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach. You will provide compassionate pre‑ and post‑care to hospitalised cases and support veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases
• Support vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures
• Manage admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases
• Perform surgical and hospital nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring
• Conduct blood collection, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
• Maintain cleanliness of surgical and treatment areas and perform general nursing duties

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, positive attitude and ability to multi‑task
• Passion for continuous education and upskilling
