Health, Safety & Environment Officer

About the role

Hancock Energy is seeking a motivated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support on‑shore oil and gas projects across Western Australia. Based in the Perth office, you will work closely with the Environment, Subsurface, Drilling and HSE groups and report to the General Manager HSE.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the stakeholder communications database and related applications.
• Provide GIS support for the HSE and stakeholder team, coordinating with external GIS providers.
• Manage field‑work travel logistics and generate purchase orders.
• Enter and manage data for incident, obligations, chemical disclosures and Safety Data Sheets.
• Prepare and submit regular compliance and statutory reports.
• Support internal audit activities, including planning, implementation and close‑out.
• Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, registers and training records.
• Provide ad‑hoc HSE and office‑management assistance as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE data management and administrative support for a diverse team.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills with the ability to develop communication strategies, policies and protocols.
• Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
