Health, Safety & Environment Advisor – Perth & Regional WA

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our client’s team in Perth and regional Western Australia. This senior, field‑based position supports the HSEQ Manager in fostering a strong safety‑first culture across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HSEQ Manager to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, industry standards and internal procedures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, pre‑start meetings and safety awareness initiatives.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and contractor reviews.
• Investigate incidents and hazards, prepare reports using INX or similar systems and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor plant, equipment and work practices to verify safety compliance.
• Build strong relationships with employees, contractors and client representatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HSEQ systems, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in an HSE or WHS advisory role.
• ICAM certification.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety / Occupational Health & Safety.
• Current C Class driver’s licence and White Card.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and behavioural safety.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage all stakeholder levels.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
