Head of Teaching and Learning F-12

About the role

The Head of Teaching and Learning provides strategic and operational leadership for teaching and learning across the Salisbury East campus, leading continuous improvement and educational innovation. The role oversees the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and SACE, supports high-quality teaching and learning, and acts as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, embedding a biblical worldview in curriculum and practice. It is a permanent position (5-year tenure) at 1.0 FTE, commencing 18 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership of F-12 teaching and learning, curriculum, assessment and reporting.
• Lead the delivery of the Australian Curriculum, SACE and other programs within a strong Christian biblical worldview.
• Champion data-informed practice to improve student learning, achievement and wellbeing.
• Lead F-12 instructional coaching and professional learning to strengthen teacher capability.
• Oversee Learning Enrichment, Diverse Learning and the Highly Able Learner Program.
• Lead the Teaching School, including university partnerships and pre-service teacher placements.
• Develop and implement a Faith Formation Framework.
• Review teaching and learning policies and build partnerships with staff, families, universities, CSA and AISSA.
• Contribute to whole-school strategic planning, including facilities and capital development.
