Head of Procurement

About the role

An experienced Head of Procurement is needed to lead procurement strategy and commercial delivery for a fast‑growing renewable energy developer delivering multi‑billion‑dollar wind, BESS and transmission projects across Australia’s National Electricity Market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for major renewable energy projects.
• Lead supplier engagement, tender processes and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate EPC, OEM, equipment supply and long‑term service agreements.
• Manage procurement for wind, BESS and balance‑of‑plant packages.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and monitor global supply‑chain risks.
• Support project finance requirements through commercially robust procurement outcomes.
• Ensure strong governance, risk management and continuous improvement across procurement activities.

Required profile

• Commercially astute procurement leader with experience delivering major infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Law, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in procurement, commercial or contracts management.
• Proven experience negotiating EPC, OEM or major supply agreements.
• Strong understanding of project finance and bankability requirements.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
