Head of Pricing and Margin

About the role

Greencross Vets is seeking a Head of Pricing and Margin to shape how services are priced, billed and managed across its General Practice, Emergency & Critical Care and Specialty network. Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial Performance, the role leads enterprise pricing and margin strategy, drives margin improvement and helps build the commercial foundations of the business. It is a highly visible leadership position working across Clinical, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Data and Technology teams, and involves the commercial design and governance of the new PIMS.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise pricing and margin strategy
• Lead commercial performance and profitability initiatives
• Oversee pricing governance, billing accuracy and charge capture
• Support business cases, financial modelling and commercial decision making
• Shape the PIMS service catalogue and billing framework
• Identify margin improvement opportunities across services, clinics and hospitals
• Drive reporting, analytics and performance measurement
• Lead and develop the pricing team

Required profile

• A veterinarian who has moved into practice leadership, operations, commercial or executive management
• A veterinary industry leader with experience managing clinics, hospitals or multi-site operations
• A commercial, finance or operational leader from the veterinary sector with exposure to pricing and service economics
• Ability to think commercially, influence senior stakeholders and lead change in a complex environment

Required skills

• Understanding of veterinary service delivery, clinic economics and client care
• Experience leading commercial, operational or transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience building capability, leading teams or driving organisational change
