Head of People & Culture, Asia-Pacific Region

About the role

A-Gas is seeking an experienced People & Culture leader to head its APAC region. Based in Melbourne, you will partner with senior leaders across six countries to shape and execute a people strategy that drives capability, culture and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the APAC Leadership Team to develop and deliver a regional People & Culture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead talent management, workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development across the region.
• Foster a high‑performing, values‑led culture through employee engagement, organisational development and change initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, compliance, reward and people governance in multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Manage and develop the APAC People & Culture team while coaching leaders to achieve exceptional people and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience, including senior HR manager or HRBP roles.
• Proven exposure to HR across the Asia region with knowledge of diverse cultures and employment frameworks.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, translating business strategy into practical people outcomes.
• Hands‑on, delivery‑oriented leader comfortable rolling up sleeves in a lean regional team.
