Head of Legal (Product, Regulatory, Privacy)

About the role

Immutable is looking for a senior legal leader to own the full spectrum of regulatory and product advisory work for its fast‑growing SaaS business. Based in Sydney, you will partner directly with senior leaders across product, engineering, commercial, growth and group functions to ensure rapid, responsible delivery of new features.

Key responsibilities

• Lead privacy, financial‑services, AML/CTF, online‑safety and AI regulatory advisory across all products.
• Design and implement a modern Legal Risk and Compliance (LRC) operating model, including AI‑enabled workflows.
• Provide end‑to‑end privacy governance: data collection, use, storage, policies, consent and data‑sharing advice.
• Collaborate with operations to embed automation into legal service delivery.
• Advise senior leadership on regulatory implications of product launches and market strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior in‑house counsel in a fast‑growing, agile environment.
• Broad generalist legal background with exposure to product and regulatory matters.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance.
• Strong autonomy, judgement and pace of execution.
