Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead Arch LMI’s finance function, overseeing financial control, statutory and regulatory reporting, and driving a culture of professional growth within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies in line with Arch LMI’s overall strategy.
• Manage end‑to‑end financial reporting, including preparation of materials for senior management and the Board.
• Lead the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual statutory financial statements with ASIC and ensure compliance with APRA prudential standards.
• Partner with the CFCO on annual budgets, quarterly re‑forecasts and capital planning.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors, and maintain internal accounting policies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Oversee payroll compliance, taxation calculations and liaison with tax advisors.

Required profile

• CAANZ/CPA credential with 10‑15 years of public accounting and GAAP/Statutory accounting experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and interacting with boards, regulators and auditors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS 17, Sarbanes‑Oxley and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Experience with general ledger applications and statutory reporting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
