Head of Careers & Graduate Success

About the role

The Head of Careers & Graduate Success will lead the evolution of career support for students transitioning from study to work, creating a connected pathway from final‑year study through the first 12 months after graduation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver digital, group and personalised career services that are accessible to diverse students and graduates.
• Translate labour‑market insight and employer expectations into practical recruitment preparation and graduate support.
• Track engagement, service quality and graduate outcomes, using data to continuously improve the offering.
• Partner with Academic, Alumni, Student Experience, Work Integrated Learning and employer‑facing teams to create an integrated service.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in careers, employability, graduate success or a comparable field, with strong knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices.
• Hands‑on leader who can both design service models and deliver early programmes.
• Data‑driven mindset, using graduate outcomes and labour‑market insights to guide decisions.
• Collaborative influencer able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with career platforms, CRM/case‑management systems and AI‑enabled tools.
• Proficiency in using data and digital tools to improve service delivery.
