Head of Careers & Graduate Success

About the role

The Head of Careers & Graduate Success will lead the evolution of career support for students transitioning into the workforce, creating a seamless journey from final‑year study through the first 12 months after graduation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver connected career services that bridge Work Integrated Learning, final‑year study and post‑graduation employment.
• Develop digital, group and personalised support models to serve diverse student cohorts.
• Translate labour‑market insights and employer expectations into practical guidance and recruitment preparation.
• Monitor engagement, service quality and graduate outcomes using data and QILT measures, driving continuous improvement.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Academic, Alumni, Student Experience, WIL and employer‑facing teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in careers, employability, graduate success or related fields with strong knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices.
• Hands‑on leader capable of both strategic design and direct program delivery.
• Data‑driven mindset using graduate outcomes, engagement metrics and labour‑market data to inform decisions.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate across academic and industry stakeholders.
• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience; recognised career development qualification desirable.

Required skills

• Experience with career platforms and CRM/case‑management systems.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools for career services.
