Head Chef - FIFO/DIDO 8/6 Roster

About the role

Cater Care, an Australian-owned catering and facilities provider, is looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at its contract site in Ensham, Queensland. The position is permanent and full-time, with a FIFO or DIDO 8/6 roster and a salary of $110,000 and above.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor, motivate and manage a diverse kitchen crew to deliver high-quality food service.
• Oversee high-volume food preparation, cooking and presentation to keep quality and comfort consistent.
• Manage kitchen budgets, stock control and ordering with autonomy.
• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene and OH&S standards.

Required profile

• Trade-qualified chef with proven experience as a Head Chef, or a very experienced Sous Chef ready to take charge.
• Experience in remote, FIFO/DIDO, bulk catering or large-scale hospitality is highly regarded.
• Strong people skills and ability to build a positive team culture.
• Good time management and a commitment to quality and safety.
