Guest Services Assistant - Dysart Village

About the role

Civeo is looking for a Guest Services Assistant for its Dysart Village in Queensland, one of its largest accommodation villages with more than 1,400 rooms serving workers in the Bowen Basin mining region. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, you will welcome guests, handle arrivals and departures, manage bookings and answer guest enquiries. The position is permanent full-time on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster, with accommodation and meals provided on site.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservations, accommodation bookings and room allocations
• Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately
• Respond to guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain accurate reservation, reporting and administrative records
• Handle retail transactions, EFTPOS payments and cash
• Prepare operational reports and complete general administration
• Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams on guest requests
• Keep the environment safe, professional and welcoming, and assist with accommodation administration and village reception operations

Required profile

• Previous reception, guest services, front office, reservations or administration experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Previous remote village, hospitality, accommodation, mining or resources sector experience (desirable)
• Full Australian working rights
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening and a National Police Clearance

Required skills

• Experience with accommodation management systems (RMS experience highly regarded)
• Microsoft Office
