Graphic Designer (Maribyrnong City Council)

About the role

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to create clear, engaging visual communications for the City of Maribyrnong. You will work across print, digital, social media, web, signage, campaigns and events, ensuring all materials are accessible and reflect our diverse community.

Key responsibilities

• Design clear, engaging materials for print, digital, social media, web, signage, campaigns, events and community engagement.
• Champion the City of Maribyrnong visual identity, maintaining brand consistency and updating templates and design tools.
• Translate complex council information into simple visual content.
• Create inclusive materials for diverse language, literacy and digital access needs.
• Develop and maintain style guides, templates, Canva resources and shared design tools.
• Manage the Digital Asset Management System and support colleagues in effective communication.
• Develop and implement design, brand and digital communications policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication, communication design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years’ experience delivering design, brand, template, digital asset and production work in a busy organisation or community‑focused setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality work.

• Permanent full‑time position (Band 6) with salary $99,705 – $108,027 per year.
