Graduate Program – 18-Month Rotations

About the role

Great Southern Bank offers an 18-month Graduate Program designed to help new graduates discover what they are good at, what they enjoy and where they want to go. It consists of three six-month rotations across different areas of the bank, giving you the chance to explore different teams, build real-world experience and learn how a customer-owned bank works. Previous professional experience is not essential; experience from university, part-time work, internships, volunteering or extracurricular activities is valued.

Key responsibilities

• Complete three six-month rotations across different areas of the bank, based on your interests, qualifications and business needs
• Contribute to projects, initiatives and day-to-day activities that improve outcomes for customers and the business
• Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to challenges and help identify practical solutions
• Build relationships and collaborate with colleagues, leaders and stakeholders across the organisation
• Take ownership of your work and deliver quality outcomes while learning from others
• Participate in structured learning, development, coaching and networking opportunities
• Apply what you learn across each rotation and use the experience to prepare for an ongoing career

Required profile

• A completed undergraduate degree, or be working towards completing one, within the eligibility period for the relevant intake
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn, ask questions and embrace new experiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to contribute your ideas
• Collaborative approach and ability to build positive relationships with different people and teams
• Adaptability, willingness to take on new responsibilities, and clear communication skills with a customer-focused mindset

The bank welcomes graduates from all academic disciplines, with rotations shaped by your interests and qualifications alongside business needs. Depending on requirements, it may particularly seek graduates in Technology, Computer Science, Data and Analytics, Finance and Risk. The program is open to applicants in Australia.
