Graduate Occupational Therapist – Community (NDIS & Support at Home)

About the role

This graduate role bridges the gap between university theory and real‑world practice. You will receive weekly 1:1 supervision, shadowing, joint visits and a caseload that grows with your confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of functional capacity, home safety, assistive technology needs and pressure care.
• Provide therapy and capacity‑building to support independence in daily activities and community participation.
• Run assistive technology trials, write clinical justifications and funding applications.
• Assess and recommend home modifications, liaising with builders and suppliers.
• Educate families and support workers to embed therapy into everyday life.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration (or eligibility).
• Strong independent thinking, clear communication and willingness to act on feedback.
• Problem‑solving mindset and enthusiasm for community‑based OT.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, NDIS Worker Screening, Police Check and COVID‑19 vaccination.

Required skills

• Functional capacity and home safety assessments.

What we offer

• $80,000 per annum (pro rata) plus super.
• Permanent full‑time or 4‑day week contract.

• $1,500 professional development allowance and 3 study days per year.
