Graduate Fire Safety Engineer

About the role

Join AECOM's Buildings & Places team as a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer. You will gain hands‑on experience across the fire engineering lifecycle, from concept design through to project completion, working alongside experienced fire safety engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support fire engineering projects by conducting fire risk assessments, evacuation analyses and smoke‑control modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation to support design outcomes and regulatory approvals.
• Develop an understanding of fire engineering codes, standards and regulations and apply them to real‑world projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety considerations into overall building design.

Required profile

• Final year or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Full working rights for Australia (student or graduate visas accepted).
