Graduate Engineer - Water Infrastructure

About the role

Join SMEC, part of Surbana Jurong, as a Graduate Engineer focused on Water Infrastructure in Sydney. You will be part of a global consultancy delivering end‑to‑end solutions across the water cycle, from major pipelines to advanced treatment facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of pipelines, pumping stations and water‑treatment projects.
• Prepare proposals, technical reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to community initiatives and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Participate in the Graduate Development Program, including workshops, mentoring and networking events.

Required profile

• Recent Civil Engineering graduate (within the last 2 years) with a credit average.
• Strong desire to build a long‑term career in water infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to manage time and workload effectively.

Required skills

• Knowledge of analytical methods and engineering principles.
