About the role

This permanent General Practitioner position is based in a well‑established private billing practice in Hobart, Tasmania. The role offers a full appointment book from day one, no weekend or on‑call duties, and flexible Monday‑to‑Friday hours.

Key responsibilities

• Consult, assess and manage patients across a wide range of conditions, focusing on chronic disease management and preventive health.
• Coordinate care, refer to allied health and specialist services, and maintain accurate medical records using the practice’s clinical software.
• Participate in team meetings, clinical governance, and contribute to the practice’s proactive, high‑quality care model.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in general practice (MRCGP, MICGP, FRNZCGP, CCFP, or FRACGP).
• Eligibility for the AHPRA Expedited Specialist Pathway (MRCGP or MICGP holders).
• Desire for a supportive, close‑knit team environment with a focus on continuity of care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with clinical software for record‑keeping and patient management.
• Experience in chronic disease management and preventive health programmes.
