Global Mobility Tax Analyst / Senior Analyst – Sydney

About the role

As a member of Deloitte’s Global Employer Services team in Sydney, you will advise international assignees and corporate clients on Australian tax implications of global mobility assignments. You will help clients meet their Australian tax compliance obligations while working alongside a network of mobility tax specialists worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice to international assignees on residency, double tax agreements, capital gains tax, employee share schemes and related Australian employment tax matters.
• Assist corporate clients with policy design, compliance and reporting for their global mobility programmes.
• Conduct tax research and data analysis to develop holistic solutions for complex mobility scenarios.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary client service teams and Deloitte’s global mobility network.
• Participate in on‑the‑job and formal technical training to continuously enhance tax expertise.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for direct client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across multinational clients.
• Solid knowledge of Australian tax law relevant to mobility, including residency, DTAs, CGT, share schemes and employment tax.
• Motivation to broaden advisory capabilities across all areas of global mobility.
