General Practitioner – Rural Victoria (RFDS)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified General Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary‑care services at the RFDS Robinvale General Practice in north‑western Victoria. You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes for a community that currently faces long waiting times for in‑person appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑spectrum GP consultations to a diverse rural population.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the practice manager to optimise clinic workflows.
• Support locum‑backed service continuity while contributing to long‑term practice development.
• Participate in rural generalist‑style care as community needs arise.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to clinical governance standards.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA specialist registration.
• Experience in, or strong interest in, rural or regional practice.
• Proven clinical assessment, diagnosis and management abilities across a broad patient demographic.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Resilience, adaptability and commitment to developing a high‑need practice.
