General Practitioner – Cooroy Family Doctor

About the role

A well-established, GP-owned and operated family practice in Cooroy, on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, is looking for a General Practitioner. The clinic is a standalone building, previously residential and renovated for a medical centre, and offers a busy start for a new GP. The practice is bulk billing with 15-minute standard appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general practice care to patients in a bulk-billing practice with 15-minute appointments.
• Work in spacious consultation rooms with windows; the incoming GP gets their own room.
• Take advantage of the DPA and MM2 location classification, which allows 3GA pathway participants to complete their training.
• Work within a flexible roster, with nursing support on site full-time and an experienced Practice Manager.

Required profile

• Interest in all areas of clinical practice; skin cancer management and procedural work are well supported.
• An interest in women's health would be highly advantageous to the local community.
• No weekend work is required; the clinic is open Monday to Friday.
