General Hand – Plant & Equipment (Shared Services Support)

About the role

Metropolitan Memorial Parks is looking for a reliable General Hand to support plant and equipment across Rookwood General Cemetery. The role ensures that all assets are clean, safe and ready for daily operations, events, funeral services and chapel set‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily cleanliness and functionality of all equipment and grounds‑maintenance tools.
• Assist with booking, delivery and external servicing of equipment.
• Liaise with grounds staff, management and suppliers to support operational needs.
• Prepare, arrange and pack down equipment for events, funeral services and chapel set‑ups.
• Follow strict safety procedures and adhere to company policies.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and able to work hands‑on in an outdoor environment.
• Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams, management and external suppliers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently when required.
• Enjoyment of outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Required skills

• Current NSW driver’s licence.
• White Card (or willingness to obtain one).
