Frontend Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Frontend Software Engineer to join Megaport’s Engineering team. You will own feature development for the Megaport Portal – the primary web interface customers use to provision global connectivity – and contribute to other customer‑facing and internal tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship high‑quality frontend features from concept through to production‑ready, maintainable code.
• Work with our modern stack (Vue 3, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, TanStack, NX monorepo) and help evolve its usage.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, raising questions when requirements are unclear.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive, high‑performance user experiences.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests using Vitest and Playwright.
• Contribute to improving architecture, patterns and development processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building web applications.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and curiosity about how things work.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, cross‑functional team.
• Residency in Australia with full working rights.
