Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

This role sits within a newly acquired startup building an AI‑enabled, autonomous banking platform for Tier‑1 financial institutions. The Forward Deployed Engineer works directly with strategic bank clients, translating modernization ambitions into production software at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with bank architecture and product teams to discover pain points and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Design future‑state bank architectures, develop proofs of concept, and build end‑to‑end use cases such as digital twins and stablecoin wallets.
• Integrate upstream and downstream systems with clean, durable, production‑grade patterns and maintain high‑performance data pipelines.
• Support sales with technical demos, architecture workshops, and platform education; travel to client sites as needed (25‑50% travel).

Required profile

• 4+ years in a technical, customer‑facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Consultant, or Software Engineer.
• Proven track record shipping robust, scalable infrastructure in Go or similar systems languages (Rust, Java).
• Deep experience with Kafka, concurrency patterns, event‑driven architectures, and multi‑region databases.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and SRE principles, including IaC and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
