Head of Project Delivery Practice

About the role

The Head of Project Delivery Practice leads the Project Management Practice within ANZ's Transformation Delivery Hub, ensuring high‑quality, consistent and predictable outcomes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the vision, priorities and improvement roadmap for the Project Management Practice.
• Champion contemporary project management approaches, standards and industry best practice.
• Establish capability frameworks, role profiles and career pathways for project management professionals.
• Provide expert guidance on delivery approaches, controls and governance.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and advise senior leaders.
• Lead and grow the Project Management Community of Practice and support workforce planning.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading project management capability, PMO or governance functions in a regulated organisation.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, governance practices and delivery frameworks.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving enterprise adoption of new practices.
• Proven ability to establish Communities of Practice and capability uplift initiatives.
• Degree in Business, Commerce, Technology, Project Management or related discipline.

• SAFe, Scrum, Kanban methodologies.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AIPM CPPD certifications.
• Project scheduling, governance and health‑check techniques.
