Forklift Mechanic / Technician – Christchurch

About the role

Join Adaptalift as a Service Technician delivering field service across the Christchurch region. You will work on a range of materials‑handling equipment, handling commissioning, installation, customer training, routine service and emergency breakdown support.

Key responsibilities

• Commission new forklift and handling equipment at customer sites.
• Install, test and configure machinery according to manufacturer specifications.
• Provide on‑site training to operators and maintenance staff.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdown calls.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Keep the service vehicle fully stocked with tools and parts.

Required profile

• Experience working with fixed or mobile plant equipment.
• Mechanical Trade Certificate (all trades considered).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Commitment to safe work practices and clear communication.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and provide references.
