Food Services Assistant NSW

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health, the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, is recruiting a Food Services Assistant for its Support Services Team in Albury. The assistant prepares and delivers food services for patients, staff and other identified clients, cleans and services assigned areas and manages waste disposal, while working within the AWH Food Safety Plan and Occupational Health and Safety principles. The position is permanent part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Plate meals and meal components, including assembling patient meal trays
• Deliver and collect meal trolleys and mid-meals to wards and other hospital areas
• Deliver food items throughout the hospital as required
• Restock pantry items in ward and department areas
• Clean and restock the tray line
• Wash tableware and serving dishes and dispose of waste appropriately

Required profile

• Able to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays
• Able to work a variety of shifts between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm, including morning and evening shifts
• Compliance with the AWH Food Safety plan
