Food & Beverage Manager – Pumphouse Point & Derwent Bridge Hotel

About the role

Lead the Food & Beverage operation across two iconic Tasmanian destinations, delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests from around the world. This hands‑on leadership position reports to the General Manager and combines floor‑level service with strategic team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Food & Beverage Supervisors and Attendants.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations at Pumphouse Point and Derwent Bridge Hotel, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, events and group functions.
• Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross‑selling and menu enhancement.
• Manage rostering, labour costs, payroll and workforce planning.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, food safety and licensing compliance.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve service issues and ensure seamless event delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in quality food and beverage, hotel, resort or tourism operations.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest connections.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with staff rostering, labour management and operational reporting.

Required skills

• Current RSA (or ability to obtain).
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Certificate IV in Hospitality (highly regarded).
• Knowledge of MICROS, Materials Control or similar hospitality systems.
• Experience managing POS systems and daily transactions.
