Food and Beverage Duty Manager

About the role

This Food and Beverage Duty Manager role combines guest experience, team leadership and financial responsibility. You will build external partnerships to support the hotel's positioning, lead a motivated and results-driven team, and deliver prompt, courteous and personalised service across all guest touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Guest experience: respond to requests and complaints, keep outlets clean and operational, monitor guest satisfaction and drive team performance on service metrics, partner with the commercial team on events and staff, and report maintenance issues
• People: manage daily staffing, coach and mentor team members, train on service, quality, safety and legislation, handle performance and disciplinary matters, support recruitment and onboarding, and build a positive workplace culture
• Financial: support budgeting and cost management, monitor food, beverage and labour costs, drive upselling and promotions, manage purchasing, stock control and rosters, and comply with financial policies
• Responsible business: comply with trade practices, gifts and bribery, data privacy and credit requirements; promote OHS&W, identify hazards and report injuries; manage inventory and HACCP records; follow the crisis manual and emergency procedures

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an F&B management role, preferably in a hotel
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Safety certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong leadership skills
