Fleet Operations Specialist – Melbourne

About the role

Halter is looking for a motivated, hands‑on Fleet Operations Specialist to join its Australian team as one of the first hardware technicians on the ground. You will build and run the operational system that supports our on‑farm hardware – collars and towers – ensuring a seamless experience for pioneering cattle producers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of on‑farm infrastructure to keep operations running smoothly.
• Diagnose hardware issues in the field and relay findings to the appropriate teams.
• Deploy collars and towers on farms, supporting installations and troubleshooting.
• Collect field insights and feed them back to product and engineering teams.
• Participate in a global on‑call roster for tower‑related incidents.
• Gather and analyse operational data to drive improvements.

Required profile

• Motivated and hands‑on with a strong sense of ownership.
• Willingness to work directly on farms across Victoria.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems quickly and communicate findings.
• Comfortable being part of a fast‑moving, high‑performance team.
