Procurement & Inventory Data Assistant (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

Our client, an Australian medical supplies distributor serving NDIS clients, is seeking a detail‑oriented Procurement & Inventory Data Assistant. The role is remote, part‑time (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM‑12:30 PM AEST) and focuses on building a robust product database, assigning SKU codes, and ensuring accurate supplier and transaction records.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain SKU codes for medical consumables such as bandages, food thickeners, PPE, and other disability‑care supplies.
• Organise supplier files and product information across multiple vendors.
• Ensure every product purchased or sold more than once has a correct code in the system.
• Identify and eliminate miscoding that hinders accurate reporting and tracking.
• Enter inventory codes, product descriptions, and supplier details with high accuracy.
• Flag data inconsistencies for management review.
• Support ongoing inventory and supplier record maintenance.
• Collaborate virtually with the management team during Australian business hours.

• Experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply‑chain administration.
• Proactive problem‑solver who asks clarifying questions when data is unclear.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work Australian business hours.
