First Nations Community Engagement and Communications Manager

About the role

As a key member of 33 Creative, you will design and deliver culturally responsive engagement and communications initiatives that empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across campaigns, projects and events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver community and stakeholder engagement in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote locations.
• Build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations, leaders and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with community members, clients and creative teams to ensure lived experience shapes outcomes.
• Map stakeholders, develop engagement plans and capture community insights.
• Coordinate and create compelling content for digital, social, media and stakeholder channels.
• Manage projects, reporting and evaluation.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar community engagement or communications role.
• Relevant degree in Social Impact, Business, Communications or Marketing.
• Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and knowledge of culturally safe practices.
• Outstanding written, verbal and digital communication skills.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
