Financial Controller – Senior Finance Leadership

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join the Sydney leadership team of a globally recognised entertainment organisation. This senior position will own the finance function for the Australian business, guiding both local and offshore teams while preparing the entity for heightened global listing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial control for the Australian operation, covering reporting, tax, audit and statutory compliance.
• Manage and develop a local finance team while enhancing the performance of an offshore finance function.
• Strengthen controls and reporting frameworks as the business readies for increased global listing obligations.
• Partner with senior leaders and international finance teams across a complex, global organisation.
• Provide commercial insight and financial discipline to a creative, relationship‑driven environment.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a listed organisation.
• Strong technical expertise in Australian tax, audit and statutory reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience working autonomously, solving problems and communicating financial narratives.

Required skills

• SAP or similar ERP experience.

• Base salary of $180,000 plus superannuation.
