Financial Accountant

About the role

Join the finance team of a leading Australian cattle and beef producer. As a Financial Accountant you will support month‑end close, reporting and audit processes for an ASX‑listed business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial analysis for month‑end close.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for the Executive Team, Board and external stakeholders.
• Support half‑year and annual statutory reporting, including ASX obligations.
• Coordinate external audit activities and liaise with auditors.
• Research technical accounting issues, maintain policies and ensure compliance.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and consolidate overseas subsidiaries.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting.
• Experience in an ASX‑listed corporate finance environment or professional services firm.
• Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Accounting; CA/CPA qualification or progress towards it.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial controls.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
