Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities across DP World’s operating business units in Oceania, ensuring accurate and timely financial data for strategic decision‑making. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will support weekly and monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and group reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, reconcile and consolidate monthly BAS returns (GST, Fuel Excise, PAYG, FBT) for group companies and submit to the ATO.
• Assist in annual FBT returns and yearly tax schedule preparation.
• Coordinate and produce accurate monthly financial reports and monitor performance of operating activities.
• Provide support on technical accounting matters, group reporting, and cost/allocation transfers across entities.
• Partner with non‑finance stakeholders to meet broader business objectives.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
• Perform monthly general ledger and intercompany reconciliations and support year‑end audit activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting with professional qualification (CPA, CA).
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Experience with statutory accounts and consolidations is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion.
• Advanced Excel skills.
