Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the corporate finance team of a well‑established West Australian resources organisation. The role will focus on delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver timely month‑end and year‑end accounting close activities.
• Maintain strong financial controls and continuously improve finance systems and reporting processes.
• Assist with taxation, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across corporate and site‑based teams to resolve financial and operational issues.
• Support administration and optimisation of financial systems and master data.
• Assist with contract administration, governance and financial risk management.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• A relevant degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards one).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder liaison.

Required skills

• Pronto ERP system experience.
