Financial Accountant & Bookkeeper – Perth

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper to join a fast‑growing national business with operations across Australia. Reporting to the CFO, you will support finance functions across multiple entities and move beyond routine bookkeeping into broader financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end bookkeeping and day‑to‑day financial management
• Processing payments and reconciling accounts
• Maintaining the general ledger and supporting month‑end close
• Preparing doctor billing reports
• Managing payroll, superannuation, and tax obligations
• Supporting compliance requirements with assistance from external chartered accountants
• Assisting with monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and P&L preparation
• Liaising professionally with internal staff, suppliers, external accountants, and regulatory bodies

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll, tax and compliance requirements
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities
• Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and within a team

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software
• Experience using Employment Hero payroll platform
