Finance Manager

About the role

Join Newtrend, an operating company of Lyra Technology Group, as a Finance Manager in Perth. You will be responsible for the overall financial health of the business, delivering accurate reporting and strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, overseeing month‑end close, financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, banking, cash‑flow and treasury activities.
• Coordinate taxation and statutory compliance, working with external accountants, auditors and regulators.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and performance analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls, risk‑management frameworks and finance policies.
• Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights, pricing support and recommendations for performance improvement.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial accounting or senior finance management.
• CA qualification or equivalent professional accounting credential.
• Proven ability to provide commercial and strategic financial support to business leaders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Required skills

• CA qualification (or equivalent).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems (desirable).
