Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to lead core financial and management accounting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and relevant financial information for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, compliance, audit coordination, month‑end processing and reporting.
• Manage payroll oversight, statutory reporting, financial controls and process improvements.
• Provide financial advice, support budget monitoring, explain variances and partner with managers.
• Supervise, mentor and develop finance staff.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CPA or CA) with at least 5 years of finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and compliance requirements.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing deadlines.
• Proactive, values‑aligned and motivated to improve processes.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Xero, PaysOnline and Power BI.
