Finance Lead

About the role

UGL is seeking an experienced Finance Lead to act as a trusted finance partner for operational leaders in its Services business. Based in the Melbourne office, you will provide financial leadership, insightful analysis and strategic decision support to improve performance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Operations and Contract Managers to support business performance and decision‑making.
• Lead month‑end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Provide detailed financial analysis, commentary and performance insights to management.
• Monitor contract profitability, cost control, revenue performance and working capital.
• Manage project financial reporting, including forecasts, cash flow and margin analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and financial policies.
• Lead and develop a small finance and administration team.
• Drive process improvements, reporting efficiencies and commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline with CPA, CA or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive senior finance, commercial or business partnering experience, preferably in operational or project‑based environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated leadership and team development.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify risks and opportunities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
