Finance Business Partner

About the role

Join Canva’s Finance team in Sydney as a Finance Business Partner, working hybrid between the office and remote. You will partner with senior business leaders to shape strategic planning, drive financial performance and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to steer Canva’s future and translate strategy into financial models.
• Leverage data and financial insights to shape planning, execution and efficiency.
• Deliver insights that help leaders understand growth drivers and influence decisions.
• Synthesise information to create clear narratives around cost structure and investment thesis.
• Develop driver‑based forecasts and robust reporting processes.
• Establish business case rigor for capital allocation and investment decisions.
• Identify risks and opportunities, inspire action and support financial excellence.
• Build and implement financial close and planning cycles with strong governance.

Required profile

• Experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or consulting at large organisations (SaaS experience a plus).
• Proven ability to connect business strategy with financial modelling and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and storytelling skills across financial and non‑financial audiences.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts, financial statement analysis, governance and risk.
• Resourceful, pragmatic and comfortable working with imperfect data.
