Finance Business Partner

About the role

This newly created Finance Business Partner role sits within a Brisbane‑based technology company with a national footprint. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the CFO and other C‑suite leaders, you will own the annual budget, monthly re‑forecast and a ten‑year scenario model, providing strategic insight that drives decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads.
• Lead a monthly re‑forecast cycle, refining assumptions as new data emerges.
• Extend and enhance an existing ten‑year scenario model, adding granularity on cost‑to‑serve and R&D investment.
• Partner with technical and delivery teams to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools that give leaders real visibility over performance and risk.
• Support an upcoming ERP implementation, deciding what moves to the new system versus Excel.
• Challenge assumptions and support scenario planning and workforce cost modelling.

Required profile

• Commercially curious with a strong appetite for questioning numbers.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of complex financial processes.
• Excellent written communication skills to turn data into clear business stories.
