FIFO Village Manager – Cairns POH (14/7 Roster)

About the role

Cater Care, an Australian-owned catering and facilities services provider, is looking for a commercially minded FIFO Village Manager to lead remote site operations across its Far North Queensland and national mining village network. The role is based on a 14/7 roster flying out of Cairns, with full operational ownership of the site and its facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily village operations across catering, accommodation, housekeeping and facilities
• Oversee accommodation reservation platforms (VAMS, SAMS or RMS)
• Take full financial control of the site P&L, focusing on labour and food costs
• Lead, mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary site team and build a strong safety culture
• Act as the primary on-site contact to build and maintain relationships with client representatives

Required profile

• Proven management experience in remote site operations, large-scale hospitality or accommodation facilities
• Commercial and financial acumen with a track record managing site P&Ls, food costs and rostered labour
• Full Australian working rights

Required skills

• Proficiency in accommodation reservation software (VAMS, SAMS, RMS or similar)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery highly desirable
• Current manual driver's licence preferred, forklift licence desirable
