FIFO Chef - Mining Camps

About the role

Aroha Services is recruiting FIFO chefs for accommodation and catering service providers across Western Australia, mainly for onshore and offshore mining camps. The work involves day and night shifts, typically on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster or a 1:1 roster, working 10-12 hours per day. Contracts are casual and run on a 2:1 roster.

Required profile

• At least 3-6 months of FIFO experience, including at least 6 months as a FIFO chef.
• Qualified with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Located in Perth and able to travel to WA by flight from Perth Airport.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Current National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months) and two references.
• Willingness to complete Rio Tinto, FMG and BHP inductions.
• Ability to pass a medical with a fitness assessment and consistent drug screens every 28 days and alcohol tests.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is desirable but not essential.
