Field Sales Manager – Lead Area Managers in Victoria

About the role

Our client, a leading Australian drinks business, is seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead a team of Area Managers across Victoria. You will translate sales strategies into actionable field plans, drive growth, increase market share and deliver strong commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth, distribution and profitability across retail and on‑premise customers.
• Set performance objectives, KPIs and development plans for Area Managers.
• Monitor sales data, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Ensure consistent customer engagement through structured call cycles and effective territory management.
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, field visits and performance management.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations and supply‑chain teams to deliver sales initiatives.
• Manage territory planning, budgets and resources to maximise sales performance.

Required profile

• Proven sales leadership experience within the drinks or FMCG industry.
• Natural leader with a track record of coaching, motivating and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of sales performance, distribution and market growth.
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical, solutions‑focused and highly organised in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
