Field Engineer – Structural

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Field Engineer – Structural to support the Eva Copper Mine Project in Cloncurry, Queensland. You will provide on‑site engineering assistance, ensuring work is planned, executed safely, and meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, sketches and assist in planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiate requisitions for field purchases and develop quantity take‑offs for materials and equipment.
• Verify commodity quantities using tracking systems or other database tools.
• Implement and monitor a zero‑accident safety philosophy, ensuring tools and equipment are in safe condition.
• Conduct technical inspections, testing and coordinate system turnover activities.

Required profile

• Experience supporting field engineering activities on large construction or mining projects.
• Ability to work safely on‑site and adhere to quality control procedures.
• Strong coordination skills for interfacing with multiple disciplines.
