Field Engineer - Rigging

About the role

The Field Engineer – Rigging will provide specialised rigging expertise for the Eva Copper Mine Project. You will support work planning, safety, quality control, technical inspection and subcontract coordination to ensure rigging activities are safe, complete and meet project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, review and execution of rigging/heavy‑haul activities.
• Provide technical guidance to construction engineers, superintendents and craft personnel.
• Prepare conceptual lift, heavy‑haul and transport studies.
• Develop transport, heavy‑haul, rigging and lift strategies, advising on crane and heavy‑transport requirements.
• Draft technical specifications for bid packages and assess subcontractor technical bids.
• Assist in cost estimating for rigging and abnormal transport requirements.
• Prepare and review medium‑risk rigging/heavy‑haul plans, lift data sheets and formal calculations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rigging and heavy‑haul engineering within large EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards for lifting operations.
• Ability to produce technical specifications, lift studies and risk assessments.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor bids and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
