Experienced Registered Assessment Psychologist (FIFO)

About the role

Join Early Start Australia as an Experienced Registered Assessment Psychologist working on a FIFO basis. You will deliver comprehensive assessments and therapy programs for children and young people across Australia, supporting families and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct new client assessments using standardised tools such as WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS and MIGDAS.
• Provide timely feedback, write detailed reports within two weeks, and develop goal‑based therapy plans.
• Deliver home and school‑based interventions, monitor progress, and refer to other disciplines as needed.
• Maintain clinical notes, incident records and comply with NDIS, registration standards and child‑safety policies.

Required profile

• Registered psychologist with AHPRA and Psychology Board of Australia.
• Experience in solution‑focused therapy, early intervention and engaging with children, families and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organisational and report‑writing abilities.
• Current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with assessment tools: WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS, MIGDAS.
• Ability to design and implement measurable therapy interventions.
